This masterclass will explore the client profile of domestic abuse perpetrator, and potential treatment responses. To help them accept personal responsibility and change their behaviour, it is vital to understand their various techniques/tactics and patterns of behaviour, and the complex factors driving their use of violence/control.
With Jess Hill, David Hollier co-wrote the chapter “Shame” in the Stella-award winning book See What You Made Me Do, which explores the phenomenon of domestic abuse, and recently wrote the chapter on ‘Men’ in the Quarterly Essay, The Reckoning. He speaks in the media on issues related to masculinity, pornography and addiction.
